We originally had a different French Friday planned for today, but then we found a "new to us" place in Austin that was so wonderful that we knew that we had to immediately tell you about it. Paris in a Bite is an exquisite little café over in Davenport Village in Westlake run by a wold-traveling French couple. It is an wonderful feast for both the palette and the senses.
Their menu is fairly large for a small cafe, and contains a nice selection of savory dishes as well as a comprehensive selection of pastries (The best we have found in Austin), macarons (hand-made and perfect), and swiss chocolates (which we are looking forward to trying next time). They also have an extensive selection of imported wines and treats for purchase. The quiche Lorraine we had for lunch was perfectly cooked, and a wonderful balance of flavors.
We spent an hour or so having a late lunch and working on costume drawings for Cyrano and it was a lovely, bright, warm working environment. We hope that you will have a chance to visit them yourselves. https://parisinabite.com
